To practice, begin by sitting in Siddhasana with a straight spine. Rest your hands gently on your knees, palms facing downwards. Initiate a circular breathing pattern: inhale through the mouth in four segments and exhale through the nose in two, taking the deepest breath possible.
Maintain this for two minutes, followed by holding the breath for as long as you comfortably can. Repeat the circular breathing with deep inhalations for another two minutes, and again hold the breath for as long as possible. *
